23 Treez blend the rhythmic island sounds of reggae with the fulfilling electric energy of classic and new rock styles, along with the occasional ska and funk. Fresh beats and driving guitar tones get the lively feeling grooving as soulful conscious lyrics bring the sound full circle for a complete musical experience. With influences ranging from Marley, Sublime, and Steel Pulse, to classic rockers like Zepplin, Floyd, and P-Funk, 23 Treez continually blend the sounds and styles that inspire and move people towards uncharted territories of sound and musical fulfillment.
23 Treez have been performing for crowded venues of enthused fans throughout the central Florida area for over 5 years, and were also one of only 2 bands from Brevard County invited to play at the Florida Music Festival in Orlando for both 2008 and 2009. “Upon the Shoreline”, the band’s first full length album, was released in February 2008 with an immensely positive public response. Local radio station WFIT 89.5 took interest, and brought 23 Treez into the studio for a live interview and performance, and has since put singles such as “Shoreline” and “Street Signs” into regular airtime rotation. Look our for their next studio album to debut early 2010!
The seeds of 23 Treez were planted in the small surf community of Melbourne Beach, Florida. Starting out in the summer of 2006, 23 Treez has gone to perform at many premiere venues in Florida Area, and share the stage with international acts such as Yellowman, Eekamouse, Collie Buddz, The Supervillans, Calton Coffie, Afroman, Ballyhoo, and many many more. Adam Azar, on vocals and guitar, consistently delivers an energetic vocal liveliness with excellent depth and lyrical consciousness, as well as providing a balanced blend of rhythm and lead guitar. On bass guitar, brother Aaron Azar holds down the sound with rich bass tones and groovin baselines that provide a rock-solid backbone. Mike Longman on drums maintains the driving rhythmic force behind the group with exceptional skill and progressive Treez beats that continually have the crowd bouncing and grooving.
