WORMED is probably one of the most respected bands from Spain, a band with an undeniable worldwide projection who changed the way of understanding Death Metal itself, making their personal revolution when their debut album"Planisphaerium" was released in 2003. Due the expectation that album created all over the world, the band completed one European tour and one Japanese tour and performed live at the most popular European and Noth American Extreme Metal festivals. After this long journey they quintet is ready to give the definitive step foward on their career and prepares a inminent future full of projects and lots of work.
The band is working hard on their upcoming new record, which will be released through North American label WILLOWTIP RECORDS. The recording will take place next September at Sadmam Studios in Madrid, with producer Carlos Santos (HUMAN MINCER, TOUNDRA, ADRIFT, HAMLET) on control. This new album will count on Riky (ex-AVULSED) on drums, keeping the line up that recorded "Quasineutrality". The writing process is evolutioning on a spectacular speed and we can affirm that the result will be much more complex and of course much more intense, with a lyrical concept that will be focused on new, future and past events regarding the visions of events treated on previous albums, so to understand on a deeper way WORMED' s universe.
On June the 5th WORMED' s previous albums reeditions will be available at stores and distros: "Planisphaerium" (CD - previously released through Japanese label MACABRE MEMENTOS in 2003) and "Quasineutrality" (EP + Bonus - previously released through Spanish label PATHOLOGICALLY EXPLICIT RECORDINGS in 2010). Both reeditions with be released through the band's current label WILLOWTIP RECORDS (USA), known for working with bands such as DISMEMBER, CEPHALIC CARNAGE, NECROPHAGIST or MACABRE, among others. HAMMERHEART RECORDS (Hollland) will take care of the distribution of both reeditions all over Europe. In 2014 Season of Mist announce the signing of WORMED for their 3rd full length.
