"Wanted by the FBI" is a Rockin’ Blues band based in Lockport, New York. The three members of the current line-up have been playing together extensively for the past 25 years and were all members of the award winning (1988 Best Classic Rock Band) Buffalo based band Kixx, which played throughout Western New York and Pennsylvania during the late 80's and early 90's.
From 1986 till 1992, Kixx gained popularity performing extensively until their drummer moved to Virginia to pursue a career in Engineering. Shortly after, the remaining members needed a break and the group disbanded. For several years following Kixx, Phil and Brian experimented with various types of music and played in other bands until Phil established Wanted By The FBI in 2001. The band consisted of Phil and 3 new musicians and the band performed at small clubs and local events for several years in the Buffalo area. The band underwent multiple personnel changes over the years until 2007 when founding members Phil, Brian and Joe reunited and "Wanted By The FBI "was reborn as a trio. With two CDs released in 2007 and one DVD in 2008, their music is now played in 127 different countries. In 2008, their song, It Takes a War, off their CD by the same name, was #2 on Indie radio for the entire year. The band has recently performed at shows such as Evolution with The Outlaws, Molson Concert Series with Kenny Wayne Shepherd the Tralf Music Hall with blues legends Guitar Shorty and Walter Trout. The band is scheduled to open for Rik Emmett on July 30 and Savoy Brown on August 28. Additional information and the schedule can be found at www.fbibluesrock.com
