Duke Mseleku (Duke Bantu X) : born in S Africa. Music runs in the family, from my grand parents to my generation. Music was a life style and important culture in my family. At age ten, when my father was writing music for his projects he decided to teach us to sing in 4 parts harmony, together with my cousins. I began working as a professional artist, at age 17 in Johannesburg, 1980 with Sam Williams singers, 82 Dakashi Afro-fusion & Jazz, 84 Oneness Afro-Reggae, CAW Band Afro-Folk & Rock, 91 KZN University Big Band Jazz, 93 moved to the UK, 95 moved to New York, to start new family. I played with numerous musicians and bands in NY. In NYC, March/02, became a founder member of Akoya Afrobeat. In 2005 began Bantudubjazz Project, which is a 30 years of experience from the times of Apartheid in RSA.
