Once upon a time, four musicians came together with a common question. Where had the rock gone? They weren't talking about a professional wrestler. They weren't referring to a campus landmark. They were talking about the music that had molded them. Simple. Subtle. Sultry. Rock. This simple question is where Farewell Citadel found not only its beginning, but its identity.
Based in Knoxville, TN, the band is taking the magic they've been able to conjure in private out for the public to share. Best described, Farewell Citadel is a 3-piece rock band lead by the powerful vocals of lead singer and songwriter Willow Linden. Mix in some blues, jazz, classic rock, and southern influences and you'll have an idea of what Farewell Citadel is about.
Willow's lyrics will move you. A life long singer, melodies and lyrics come to her with an awe inspiring ease. She has many inspirations ranging from Dolly Parton, Jewel, Bonnie Raitt, and Christina Aguilera.
Remington Brown (Remi) has one mission: To deliver tasty guitar licks and mind-altering solos. Whether it be sweet pick-a-dillies or full-on ROCK YOUR FACE OFF old-school solo, he delivers. His musical flavorings include Aerosmith, Ozzy, Zeppelin, the Stones, U2, and Guns N' Roses.
John Krewson handles the drumming duties for Farewell Citadel. Since sitting behind the drum set for high school band Winged Ghandi, John has enjoyed playing with a diverse number of talented groups, including: Flagman Ahead, The Pranksters, Electrolux, The Oak Ridge Klezmer band, The Little Big Band, and Righteous Groove. John finds musical inspiration from other drummers, but finds ultimate fulfillment in setting down a solid foundation so that his fellow band members can showcase their own talents.
Brandon Miracle handles the low-end. His years of guitar skills transfer well to solid bass grooves. His music preferences include The Dave Matthews Band, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and The Beatles.
