Pulsic is an American post nu-metal band from Cottonwood, Arizona. Founded in 2007 by vocalist Chris Coyner, guitarist Dan Culver, bassist Will Bruce, and drummer Sean Scott. Pulsic has released two Extended Plays, has been featured on two compilation albums and has shared the stage with bands such as Orgy, (Hed) PE, Powerman 5000, Bionic Jive, and Hemlock.
The band originally performed under the name Synth. The name would change to Pulsic in 2008, due to a heightened commitment within the band.
In May of 2008, Synth recorded their first EP entitled "Crush the Infected System", appropriately named in respect to the three core songs "Crush", "The Infected" and "System". The three fore-mentioned tracks were recorded at the Multi-Purpose Studio in Jerome, Arizona. The EP was sold in various locations throughout their homestate of Arizona and several other states and could, at one time, be found on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, and Napster. In the same month, "Crush" would appear on the compilation album, Downtown Metal: Volume 10, by Quickstar Productions, which can still be found on iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, Amazon, eMusic, Pizdec, IOD Alliance, Last.FM and Vcast music.
At the end of 2008, bassist Will Bruce parted ways with Synth due to creative differences. Bass duties were then picked up by longtime friend, Damon Montiel. Following this event, came the name change from "Synth", to "Pulsic". The new name stemming from the "sick pulse of the music and energy" the band puts foward.
At the end of 2009, Pulsic went in record their first full-length album, "Ecdysis" with Perseverance Studios, based out of Tempe, Arizona. The "Ecdysis" sessions went ultimately unfishished due to creative differences with their producer and the album was shelved for release by the band.
Damon Montiel parted ways with the band at the end of 2010 due to the start of his new family and has since continued music through solo work and playing amongst other bands. Bass duties were then handed off to Jeremy Summers.
In 2011, when Jeremy Summers picked up rhythm guitar, Pulsic recruited Mike Collier to play bass and provide backing vocals. In early 2012, Dan Culver parted ways with the band to pursue other interests. Neil McNamara was named the new guitarist of Pulsic.
In Summer of 2012, the band has made it known that they were self-producing their first full length release. The project, with a working title of "Digital Paradigm" is expected to feature twelve songs and is planned to for released in late 2012.
In October 2012, Pulsic released their second ep, which features "Disposable", "My Life", and a reworked version of "Crush". during these recording sessions, Neil McNamara parted ways with the band for personal reasons, and David Goelitz was named the new guitarist of Pulsic and is expected to be featured on the album as well.
