Mark Mosher is an electronic musician, sound designer, and composer from Boulder, CO. He is also a seasoned performer who has played 100s of shows in bands prior to launching his own one-man show in 2009.
He now performs his original sci-fi inspired electronica and ambient compositions using expressive controllers such as keyboards, pads, IR AudioCubes, and Theremin to play and shape virtual synthesizers in real-time. He also visually amplifies his performance using interactive visuals based on live camera input and visual synthesis. Mark also performs using live sequencing so he can change the arrangement of the show on-the-fly making each show unique. Mark also performs in the duet A.I. Winter and with the Concréte Mixer ensemble.
He’s been invited to play festivals and theaters around the country such as Electro-Music Festival NY, Electro-Music Festival in Asheville NC, Pacific Northwest Synthfest, Art Institute of Sunnyvale, Georgia Tech, Midwest Electro-Music Experience, The Microsoft Store, the grand opening of the University of Denver’s Performance Black Box and more. He is one of the first electronic music artists to perform at The Dairy Center for the Performing Arts Performance Space in Boulder, CO and recently performed at the Gates Concert Hall at the University of Denver.
Mark gives back to the community by blogging on electronic music at Modulate This! (http://www.ModulateThis.com). At a local level, he’s the organizer of the Boulder Synthesizer Meetup (http://www.bouldersynth.com) and a volunteer at local STEM schools to help create electronic music labs based around his 9 Box Infrared AudioCube Instrument.
