Jessica Jones Quartet / Bio

The Jessica Jones Quartet is an improvising jazz ensemble which performs original experimental music. Working with creative musicians, poets and storytellers allows a level of exploration that gives birth to a unique sound, infusing the music with the energy of new textures while remaining firmly rooted in the jazz tradition.
Playing original compositions by Jessica and husband and fellow tenor player Tony Jones, the band has played in the Knitting Factory Festival in NYC, the Bay Area JazzPoetry Festival, and the Eddie Moore Jazz Festival in Oakland, CA, headlining with Don Cherry. The group has been featured in venues on the east and west coasts of the US and released four CDs to critical acclaim.
