After the release of their debut album "Pushing Through The Still" in 2010, Slave To The Day has toured heavily across the U.S performing hundreds of shows in promotion of the album, as well as touring with many well known national acts. With success and great response to their debut album, Slave has completed writing of their newest album and are currently in studio recording their Sophomore record to be released in 2014. With a positive message that promotes individual strength, core values, and focus on righting the ship “America”, fans and followers of Slave To The Day highly anticipate the much awaited release.
Slave To The Day formed in 2007 by brothers Ian and Adam Willicott. After years of writing music and performing hundreds of live shows, Slave decided to record a full length album independently. In an attempt to grasp the same unique sound and rawness of their live shows, Slave decided to record in Louisiana with some of Hard Rock and Metal's best producers.
In August 2009, Slave To The Day began recording in Abita Springs, La. with producer David "Puma" Troia (Mudvayne, 12 Stones, Down, Otep). In February 2010, Slave started the finishing touches of the album at Balance Studios in Mandeville, La. with producer Drew Vonderhaar (SOIL, Mudvayne, Otep, Sheryl Crow). After a year of pre-production, recording and mixing, Slave To The Day released their independent full length album "Pushing Through The Still" in July 2010.
"Pushing Through The Still" musically and visually represents life's lessons in adversity and the pursuit of goals, no matter how stagnant life around an individual may be.
