The Story … With straight forward lyrics reflecting the realities of modern life, and a stage show completely inclusive of their audience, with a gritty rock edge, Forever Sunday’s world is one of tales of life, work, love and loss, balanced by a hard playing, hard living spirit. The Texas based band was formed in 2007 by long time friends, Chris Kummer felt the tug of music from a very early age. Drawing from such musical influences as Pearl Jam, 3 Doors Down, Nickleback and Mel Mcdaniel , Chris began writing music and the concept of FOREVER SUNDAY was born. To bolster the group’s sound, in 2008, drummer Jesse Garcia, and bassist, Jay Smith was added, each bringing their unique stamp to the fresh lineup. The quartet played its first gig in Dallas, Texas, blazing through a repertoire of ten songs, all originals, and was met with thunderous acceptance from the crowd, comprised mostly of family and friends. Word quickly spread of their triumph, and Kummer was busy back in the studio, turning out sure fire hits as “Broken”, “Picture Perfect”, and “Girl”. Featuring front man Kummer’s haunting vocals. The boys pressed their first self titled CD, in the spring of 2009, while searching for the perfect record deal, but found time to pursue other interests. You can catch Kummer on the Hit television VH1 Series, “Daisy of Love” & "I Love Money 4" and in layouts of several notable publications. Whether at home, on the road, or abroad, Forever Sunday’s success has raised expectations for a new album, and proven them a creative musical machine, firing on all cylinders. Stay tuned as this group wins over the critics, as well as mainstream audience, and becomes a ROCK force to be reckoned with!
