Judd Hoos has made the biggest change in the band since it’s initial inception. Bringing brothers Tyler and Devin Bills from Denver Colorado into the band.
Tyler & Devin are both extremely talented accomplished musicians who have spent their whole lives playing music together and the last 8 years playing in their band Joe Fornothin’. Tyler brings his incredible voice and guitar skills into the band to mix and meld with the Judd Hoos sound. Devin also has a great voice and can play nearly any instrument you put in front of him! Both brothers play horns which brings a total new dimension to the band.
Vocalist and front man Bob Zwart says it best “We’re making a big change here, but we’re still holding onto our roots of bringing a great show to a lot of people”. Judd Hoos is now a powerhouse six-piece band with Bob Zwart on vocals, Tyler Bills on guitar, trumpet and vocals, Shane funk on drums, Chris Hornick on bass and Andy Young and Devin Bills splitting their time on keys and guitars. This diverse group of talent lets the band change up who is doing what constantly - leaving audiences guessing 'what are they going to do next?'
In the past seven years the band has performed thousands of shows across the United States , released a debut CD, opened for national acts Three Days Grace, Puddle of Mudd, Breaking Benjamin, Theory of a Deadman, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and even managed to squeeze in a show at the Bellegio in Las Vegas. You never know who might show up on a Judd Hoos stage with the occasional cameo appearance from ’80s rockers Warrant or a blistering vocal performance with Mikey from Orange County Choppers, Antonio Banderas danced his way on stage and even the Governor of South Dakota Dennis Daugaard has been kind enough to be part of a show.
The band is currently soaring on the success of their last album “TWO” and is currently writing songs for their next album. The reaction from a number of radio stations in the Midwest has already been positive with the single “Stand Up” getting airplay in several markets including KDDX (XROCK) in Rapid City, SD and 93.5 Rock It FM in Worthington, MN.
The calendar for 2014 is nearly full and will take Judd Hoos to at least 8 states performing 120-130 shows and cover a vast number of miles. The new Judd Hoos is going to have a great year!
