German A. Hall is the leader, writer, vocalist and rhythm guitar player for Kings Valentine. A survivor of an illness called Guillain-Barre Syndrome (Guillain-Barre syndrome is a serious disorder that occurs when the body's defense (immune) system mistakenly attacks part of the nervous system. This leads to nerve inflammation that causes muscle weakness and other symptoms). The left side of my body is 40% slower than the right side (electrical conduction) and I still suffer muscles spasms in my hands, arms and legs. But, I'm happy to be vertical :) Though playing guitar is not as easy as it once was for me in the 80's, I am happy to still be able to write and play at the speed I can do now. It is again fun for me. My style of writing is 80's-ish, but with the addition of Raphael Slaggs on lead guitar, we successfully blend my power-pop/power-punk style with Raphael's fantastic 70's style lead guitar finesse. Raphael (aka - Blind Fret) has an extensive amount of work as a session guitarist as well as a certified "gun for hire" resume. I consider myself very fortunate to have met this gentleman and he has become a great friend and confidant in a short period of time. Blind Fret Studio's in Missouri is currently re-mastering my tracks to a point where I can now offer it for sale to the public.
Part of the project also includes adding the musical talents of friends from around the world so I can also have different interpretations of my music, so you will hear my 80's brand and then also have another version of some songs with their influence. I think it makes for a very interesting listening experience not only for myself but the Kings Valentine audience.
