LION'S TEETH is Chris Kiley (Acoustic Guitar, Vocals), Rob Aceto (Bass, Harmonies), Ian Biggs (Electric Guitar, Harmonies) & Mike Knobloch (Drums).
Singer/Songwriter Chris Kiley has been writing and self-recording melodic acoustic folk-pop songs since 2004. In October 2008, he decided to draft friends from the local Danbury music scene to form a full band and Lion's Teeth was born. The band took their name from a Mountain Goats song of the same name played their first show at Cousin Larry's Cafe in Danbury, CT. After a handful of successful gigs in the area, Lion's Teeth went on hiatus in May 2009 when Kiley moved out of Danbury.
On a Tuesday night in May 2010, Chris Kiley attended a Stella Blues Open Mic Night in New Haven, CT and met Rob Aceto after he performed. Chris was impressed with Rob's singing and Rob expressed interest in collaborating so they decided to form a full band. Rob suggested Mike Knobloch (who was playing in the house band) as their drummer. Lion's Teeth was back with new songs, a new line up and a new city. About a year later, Ian Biggs (front man for alternative rock band All in Blind) was added to the band to add a third vocal harmony and an electric guitar to flesh out the Lion's Teeth sound. Lion's Teeth is finishing their first EP which will be independently released in the upcoming months.
