Ask Jerid Nowell who he is and he’d probably tell you it’s easier to say who he isn’t. Jerid is not the rocker you’d find scanning the eyeliner booth in Sephora and he doesn’t own a Hot Topics rewards card. He belongs to the elite class of men that can rock a fedora in 2014 and still be fashion forward. He doesn’t scream into the mic because life is so painful -- he’s well associated with hardship but chooses to express it in such a bitter-sweet way that’ll make a grown man cry.
A singer, songwriter, and musician out of Phoenix, Arizona, where music prospects normally shrivel and die in the barren desert, Jerid took a fateful trip to NYC to start singing to more than cacti and the occasional scorpion. While performing in near empty venues and some seedy dive bars, Jerid’s powerful voice and conviction hooked the attention of Daniel “DGMayne” Glavin, executive producer at Bash Records. Teaming up with DGMayne enabled Jerid to professionally record his original music and he is now ready to release his debut EP, “Outburst”, to the world.
The future rock star has been making music since he was 13. Completely devoted to his craft and developing both his vocal and instrumental talent, Jerid’s powerful voice and guitar skills makes for a dynamic duo. Drawing inspiration from his idols Ray LaMontagne, Switchfoot and singer Matthew Bellamy of Muse, Jerid has a deep love for lyricism, which his songwriting heavily reflects. His background in acting, humorous antics, and nomadic tendencies, gives Jerid the uncanny ability to adapt to any situation both on and off-stage.
With new releases scheduled, a new guitar and band on deck, and an infectious smile, Jerid Nowell is ready to rock out with his team.
