This is Caleb Blood.
He sings, plays the piano and the guitar.
Sometimes he does more than one at the same time.
He write pop/rock music that sounds like a second date between Sara Bareilles and Jason Mraz with The Script playing over the car stereo in the background.
He’s been singing in public since he was eight years old.
He’s been writing music since before that.
When you could count his age on one hand, he would write about Batman and trash cans while singing into a portable tape recorder.
Now he writes about relationships, lack of relationships, and an inability to dance.
He was forced to play the piano at an early age.
He chose to play the guitar after watching an older neighborhood kid play “Smooth” by Santana and Rob Thomas on his PRS electric guitar and realizing he would get way more girls with a guitar than a piano.
He grew up as a kid in the San Francisco Bay Area listening to classic rock and boy bands but turning into neither after deciding Dave Matthews Band and John Mayer were more his style.
He grew up as an immature adult in Detroit, Michigan listening to gospel music.
He now continues to grow up in Provo, Utah listening to anything from Maroon 5 to Saosin; from Ne-Yo to The Fray; from Usher to Shiny Toy Guns.
He wants you to want his music to get stuck in your head.
In April of 2011, he released his first solo album -- a 6-track EP entitled “Listen Up”
