Donn Jones, (Donnavon Jones), was born and raised in Charleston, SC. While growing up, Donn pursued to be a rapper and producer at the tender age of 13 with some neighborhood friends and formed the group "Geechee Mobb" where his rap alias was Mista Buck! After joining the Air Force in 2003, Donn linked up with Vince Pitts and started recording/producing out of their dorm rooms and released a mixtape "Tryna Make It". In 2006, while stationed in Korea, Donn put a halt to his pursuit of being a rapper after realizing he had the gift to sing. He then went on to sing in various choirs, was Praise and Worship leader for choirs, and sang at various venues for open mic nights and showcase premiers. In 2012, Donn stepped back onto the acting scene, which started back in middle school, and made his debut in the Gospel play "An Interview by God". Later that year, Donn made an appearance singing in the independent film "No Weapon" produced by the LaMelle Group and April Marcell. Donn is also starring in the up and coming production "If A Man Don't Work, A Man Don't Eat" produced by James McNeil Person. Donn never forgets to give God all the glory for any success he has and always, first, gives honor to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom he knows all of his gifts, talents, and opportunities comes from. He would be remiss if he didn't give a SPECIAL thank you and recognition to Leslie Holmes-Dupree from Les D. Ent who set him on the right path and will always be a big part of his life and success. Stay tuned to Donn Jones and his upcoming album "The Soul of a Man"!
