Jam Impressions / Bio

In 1999 J.A.Moraes started the Jam Impressions´ project, a track to New York city. Recorded the CD Impressions with all the instruments played. In 2001 started to work with the John Armless Project, a progressive rock band where " recorded its first independent CD called The Temple of The Lost Voices" . In 2003 the CD; The Space Messiah" was recorded and afterwards worked with the band until 2010, when the project Marching Hammers was initialized producing a new version of Pink Floyd with a female voice, leaving it at the end of the year.
In 2011, back the origins, was the Jam Impressions was created and playing the instrumental songs that was began in 1999, counting on the participation of Humberto Bertrami at the guitar who learned the first chords for intermediary of a neighbor in Tatuí, at eleven years old, on his born city. Little time later, tried its first band of rock´n roll among older and very experienced musicians. Despite of the heavy influence by bands of Blues, Rock´n´ Roll and Hard Rock, he played in several bands of rock of the scene rock´n roll of the interior of São Paulo and the capital, detaching the " Ossos do Ofício" band when recorded “Ossos do Ofício" e " Crash Landing". It´s also important to mention the bands " Nóz Moscada" , " Avesso" e " Asas Imaginárias”; had its own song Project called "Blues´n Roll" where could record its first work solo producing remakes of his own influence. Also recorded guitar background over many other artist´s work like solo singers, groups, reaggae and rock´n´roll bands. During the years, even considering by his own self taught, studied erudite guitar with Edson Lopes and Geraldo Ribeiro.
Rafael Heffer, who´s interested in music since he was a kid when started to play cello in a project called “Acordes para as cordas” but never gave up the guitar neither the drums. During the College Rafael founded with other mates, a punk geek jazz band called Ciscato Jazz Trio, which results brough an album and a studio DVD. Soon joint an instrumental project called “Mother Wood”, beginning as a quintet doing versions of musitians like Hermeto, Miles and Pastorius. Afterward, spending a little time away from the bands, started his own compositions. The song “Amanhecer” was among the 1st Sabesp Association Brazilian Popular Music Award finalists. Little time later took one´s chances on short length “Sonho de Papel” sound track. At the same year realized the delight of being playing drums when a fortunate coincidence put him throught a jam with a group about to become the IMPRESSIONS!
