Johnita Blaze was born on August 18, 1982 in Oakland, CA. She was raised with a strong background full of musical creativity. At the age of 2 she moved to Sacramento, CA with her mother, who was also a singer. Johnita Blaze loves all types of music for hip-hop, rap, r&b, classical and more. At the ripe age of 6 started to play the violin with her best friend Melissa. 2 years later she wanted to explore her talents and started rapping, singing and dancing with an dance team within her elementary school.
When she turned 10 she moved from one part of Sacramento to another and tragedy struck. Her best friend Melissa had become missing. With that on her heart music had become the last thing on her mind. She never stopped loving music, it was just harder for her to enjoy it not knowing the status of her friends life. Once in she started 10th grade at Hiram Johnson H.S. the rap game was prominent in what the students called "The Circle". One day while listening and enjoying the "battle" she was thrown in by her friend. Once in the circle she was tearing everyone who stepped to her a new one. She became the best female rapper in the school. With the new found confidence she started to write and perform at all school functions. She also started a group named Serenity with some of her school associates.
At that time she was known as Chele T. Chele T was performing with her friends and also on a few mixtapes. Once High School was over she was wanting a name the expressed how hot she was, Johnita Blaze came to mind one night and she ran with it. With performances at the Colonial and Several Clubs throughout Sacramento and Los Angeles under her belt she felt as thou it was time it step it up. She started to write several songs for people around her and had a special appearance on several local artist projects.
While trying to juggle working and music she started a family. She is a single divorced mother of 4 children. One day while listening to a old tape she had made realized that in order for her memory of Melissa(who is still missing) to live on she needed to get herself together.She has decided it was her time to shine and with all the female hip hop artist out of commission and no women representing California she wanted to let the world know who she was. Determined to be the Queen Of Cali, she hit the studio to start working on her debut album titled "Personal Business". She is a one of a kind and the best at what she does.
