The band was founded in 2005 by Andy Abell and Mark Knaggs, who had played together around Atlanta several years before in HollyRocks. Since reuniting in 2005 under the name Ernest T. Band, the band has gone through several different line-ups finally settling on the current permanent line-up and changing the name to SwitchKick, perfect to do the kind of music we want to do, ROCK & ROLL. SwitchKick is a high-intensity precision Hard Rock Show covering over 4 hours of rock classics from the 70s through today’s “destined to become classics” tracks! Our music includes covers from ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Tom Petty, AC/DC through newer artists like the Foo Fighters, 3 Doors Down, Weezer and Kings of Leon.
Since we began playing the Atlanta area bar scene, the band has performed all around the metro area at parties, bars and rowdy gatherings. Our goal in 2013 is to expand our venue list and provide some new places for our fans to join us. Since all of the members hail from different parts of Atlanta, we have a good draw anywhere in the Metro area and will promote any shows to our fan base through personal invites, facebook invites and promotional fliers and posters. More than the average bar band, SwitchKick delivers a professional looking and sounding product geared toward audience fun and participation. We have our own PA and monitoring if needed. Be ready for some good times!
