Chealex Mpanza is a rising phenomenal in hip hop emcee from Eshowe, a small rural town in KwaZulu Natal. Few contemporary artists will ever be equipped to carry the torch of soulful lyricist and master emcee with the same sense of authenticity as Chealex Mpanza. Being 26 years of age, he raps in isiZulu mixed with a bit of English and has shared stages with various commercial musicians since he started in 2008.
To watch him rhyme is to be enthralled & overcome by eloquence of the event. A quiet acknowledgement is all that is necessary as you witness the rise of an icon to be – yet, as he oozes Mzansihood charisma, Eshowe spunk, the self-described “motivator and inspiration” is all about love, success and life. He is due to release a mixtape called STARTERS which he worked with various producers such as Bash Boi Beats who produced the track called That’s What Up for Zeus, Aka and Tumi. The single that he’s currently pushing is self produced & is called HARD which promises to receive a huge wave of success. On the single he collaborated with Ntlex Ntlekelele from Mtubatuba in K.Z.N who's also a rapper and working on his mixtape which will probably be released together with Chealex’s. Chealex is only five (5) years in existence as a rapper but he’s showing that he’s going places.
