Introducing the Erie Knights, from Old Brooklyn, Ohio : www.reverbnation.com/erieknights
The ERIE KNIGHTS are:
The founder and band leader for The Erie Knights. Dave is a graduate of Collinwood High School and has a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Cleveland State University. He is a veteran teacher, with fourteen years experience, formerly with the Cleveland School District. Dave has also worked in several different industries, from Customer Service to Industrial Manufacturing. Hobbies include electric wiring, plumbing and woodworking.
Dave teaches guitar and bass at Academy Music Company, in Cleveland Hts. He repairs stringed instruments there and builds electric guitars and basses in his own “Custom Service Shop", a division of Erie Knights' Studio. Dave has played in Holland and Italy, as well as with the Cleveland Public Schools All-City Band, Orchestra and Choir.
During his career, Dave has sung, played trumpet, bass, guitar and mandolin with all-occasion bands in the Cleveland/Lakewood area. His "Quick-Tie" invention held a “Patent Applied For" status.
Born in Berea, Ohio. Terry is a professional driver for AT&T. Began playing drums at age 14. Terry has played in numerous musical groups and performed a wide variety of musical styles. Inspired by a diverse list of artists and genres, Terry is the main researcher of songs to add to our repertoire. He plays many types of percussion instruments and is adding to his collection.
He is one of the few singing drummers that are performing today.
Congas, timbales, electronic drums and other hand percussion instruments are in his arsenal of tools for recording or live performance. Terry is also learning to play saxophone and currently owns a soprano, an alto and a tenor sax. As a percussionist/drummer, he is the "First Call" to fill in or assist in many local bands.
"Lone Wolf", as he is often called, is active in the Praise Band of his local church and has assisted the church with many activities, including the recent move to another facility and the dedication of that new church building.
Steve started playing guitar at age 9 and has been a professional guitarist since 1975. Born in Cleveland and currently a Strongsville resident, he is well-versed in blues, jazz, rock, classical and country. He studied jazz, classical music and music theory at Tri-C, with a Performing Arts Scholarship. Steve was a piano student at B-W. Steve is also a member of the band "AVELANCHE". He is a very active educator and performer. He teaches at several professional studios in the Strongsville/Brunswick area.
Steve is a "Go To" guy for other professional ensembles in the area and has played a huge number of locations throughout Northeast Ohio and throughout the Northeastern USA. He has fantastic playing skills on electric and acoustic guitar and can double on electric bass and keyboard.
Steve performed in the all-original band "Silverhorse" and performed live, on-stage with groups which opened for Rick Derringer and Foghat. We're glad to have him with the ERIE KNIGHTS. >>>>>>>More>>>>>>>
