DEBUT ALBUM, "HEARTLAND," NOW AVAILABLE ON iTUNES!!!
For years, when Rachel Rhodes sang, the room listened. These days, the Iowa native is captivating a larger audience in Nashville, Tennessee.
Rhodes grew up in a small farm town against a backdrop of cows and corn. As a teen, she was somewhat of a loner and would often skip class to secretly practice her singing; belting piercing arias instead of the country songs that were like anthems to her schoolmates. More than anything, she wanted to prove she was different.
Rhodes developed an operatic soprano voice and went on to thrive as a classical singer, starring in operas and performing in national and international tours. After studying voice in Italy for a summer, Rachel continued her classical training until her smalltown roots finally pulled her back to country music.
Never one to do anything halfway, Rhodes began writing songs and moved to Nashville, Tennessee to write and record her music with an already established songwriter and producer. Within less than a year of living in Nashville, she has written and recorded her debut EP, worked closely with A-list Nashville musicians, and has already caught the attention of the country music industry. Her brand new EP album, "Heartland," was released January 15th, 2013.
