Simon was looking for a project to play danceable, fun music that was also challenging and interesting. Josh and Clay answered the call and started Sometimes Voices (a name taken from a Shakespeare play) with the goal of playing music that gets people moving and listening. Keys player Jason Dinwiddie, a Florissant native who played in Columbia and St. Louis in bands Swell and Laid Down Eight, came on board with his chops to complete the sound.
