Clay Perry (born October 20, 1990), is an American
hip hop artist from the suburbs of Fort Worth, Texas. In the summer of 2012 he released his debut
mixtape #WEMadeIt which was co-signed and hosted by Quick Mixx Rick. Spring 2013 Clay released his
EP Parallel Lines which featured seven tracks that will be on his debut album The Book of Rager that is
scheduled to release in 2014.
Preceding his pursuit of a career in the hip hop industry Clay enlisted in the US Navy before
being honorably discharged in 2011. While in the navy he was assaulted on two separate occasions,
and lost six loved ones in a stint of three years. Clay uses these life lessons to create a true, soulful
style of hip hop. Nas, Wu Tang Clan, Chance The Rapper, Kid Cudi, Eminem, and Earl Sweatshirt are few
artists/groups that inspired his music. His goal as an artist is to instill a new image of music in the minds
of the average fan, and he does so by taking music to its full potential as an art. He has worked with
artists such as Fat Pimp, Big Waulk, Zachary Harrison, William $, D Wayne, and Boogie. Julius has also
been affiliated with producers FredOnEm, Skywalker Beats, and TYCR. He has worked with Grind Kingz
and Redline Records and is currently sponsored by Aeronotiqz Clothing. You can find him on twitter
@theycallmerager and hear his music on Reverbnation.com/lonerager and Datpiff.com.
