Chelle learned to LIVE OUT LOUD early. Born in the backseat of her grandmother’s car, CHELLE couldn’t wait to get on with LIVING!
Chelle Epiphany Ticeson, known as CHELLE, was born and bred in Seattle, Washington, in the “206” area code, on July 12, 1988. As an adventurous child, she was considered a "tomboy", but under her rough facade, Chelle was in touch with life and the romance it had to offer. In her adolescent years she wrote poetry and songs about the fascinations of love, and being loved. Through her teen-age years, she enjoyed watching movies with classic romance song tracks such as Boomerang, Titanic, Sleepless in Seattle, and The Mirror has Two Faces.
Chelle attended the renowned Garfield High School (attendees include Quincy Jones and Jimi Hendrix) and played junior varsity basketball, but found her true sport as a volleyball player. She played all four-years as a middle blocker. Playing on club volleyball teams consumed her summer vacations; but, her free time was spent with a pen in hand organizing her musical lyrics on paper. She still has her original composition books filled with words expressing life’s experiences. While Chelle loved sports, her passion dwelled in musical production.
After high school graduation, Chelle left Seattle in 2006 to attend Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida on a full-ride volleyball scholarship. As a student-athlete, she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education/Recreation. However, she could not escape the allure of music and quickly began making friends in the music department. There, she familiarized herself with all types of musical equipment. As a full-time student-athlete, and going through a couple of college boyfriend heartbreaks, Chelle rarely had time to write about her experiences and feelings. Although she took a pause from song-writing and music, her intense workouts and long state-to-state bus rides to her NCAA-National Collegiate Athletic Association / MEAC-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference volleyball games played an internal motivational role which allowed her musical creativity to simmer on the back burner.
Chelle’s inspiration reached a boiling point and she began writing again – this time in all aspects of Love and Relationships…
