"If you love Him then you gots to represent Him well". If you a christian rapper, jump on Tha Cypher!
Paul Sahagun A.K.A. Tha Wreking Ball started rapping around 12 years. With what started off as a joke spoof on “The West Side Connections” “Bow Down” single, the talent was recognized. TWB’s songs and lyrics were always split between Christian Rap and mainstream or “secular” rap due in large part to his strong Christian faith instilled by his parents, however, presently he is undergoing the transformation from "luke-warm" christian to full on all out for Jesus Christ. Tha Wreking Ball started with recording from CD to a tape deck, mainly for his own amusement, obtaining instrumentals from singles, friends, or the internet.
In late 1997 TWB did a small performance at a party, when his talent was recognized by a youth minister from Bakersfield, CA. Shortly thereafter, TWB performed a small Christian Rap tour in Bakersfield, CA.
Throughout the years of 1998 and 2006 TWB had made various recording and had performed minimally at parties, talent shows, and auditions.
TWB realizes that he is no main stream artist, and is not motivated by the glamour, money, or fame usually associated with being a main stream artist. TWB’s motivations are to continue doing what he is passionate about, achieving his goals, and to positively affect people with his music.
TWB continues to work on his next project, a new album to be entitled “Say Hello To Tha Good Guy”.
