Skookum Sound System is an Indigenous Audio-Visual collective, currently performing a live show featuring Vocalist/Song Carrier - Csetkwe, DJ/Producers - Deano (Dean Hunt), and Impossible Nothing (aka Darwin Frost) and Video Artist Amphibian14 (Bracken Hanuse Corlett)
Skookum formed in November of 2011, doing a late-night set at the inaugural Vancouver Indigenous Media Arts Festival. From that show they were asked to perform at the sold-out W2 Lights NYE. They were also brought out to Kelowna by the Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art to perform to another packed house at the Blackbox Theatre.
Skookum is getting ready to open for internationally acclaimed, Filastine, For the show "Beats Not Pipelines" on March 31st, at the W2 located in Vancouver 111 W hastings.
