It was only a matter of time before veterans of the West Virginia music scene Tucker Riggleman and Paul Cogle crossed paths. Tucker spent the better part of eight years consistently touring the country with garage rockers The Demon Beat, while Paul was busy paving the way with influential WV bands Vox Populi and Nagato. Their inevitable collaboration birthed Bishops, an indie rock band that is not easy to pigeonhole. Tucker's penchant for "hit-you-in-the-stomach" songwriting, mixed with Paul's expert musicianship has resulted in a band that covers ground from shoegaze to punk rock to folk, and everywhere in between. Staying true to the DIY ethics that they cut their teeth on, Bishops continue the tradition of honest songwriting and passionate playing that has been established by their previous musical efforts. Bishops' mission is clear --- use the past to create something real and exciting for the future. It's looking bright.
