We used to be described as "Three Days Grace meets Kings of Leon," but we've gotten a lot harder-hitting over the past few months. We've got riffs, we've got hooks, we've got harmonies, and we've got energy.
Citizen Hollow is a rock band from the Norwood, Ontario area, formed in 2008.
In mid 2010, founding members Chris Millar and Robb Crofts moved to the GTA into a jam house to get a solid set down and gain some fresh blood. "This allowed us to get to work with no distractions and allowed to us to work with the guys from the My Darkest Days camp to better our song structure and dynamics," said Robb. It was at this time when bassist Kevin Austin joined them.
A large shift in momentum came in the winter of 2012, when guitarist Jer Avey was added to the lineup. "The influence Jer brings to our songs has completely changed our sound for the better," says Kevin. "Its given us that something that we couldn't put our finger on. But we've got it now."
Citizen Hollow is in the midst of recording a new EP and hope to be able to release it Spring 2013. "We are currently working on one track to bring it to its max potential; to take a big step in getting our name out there," said Chris.
They are currently booking shows for summer 2013 to get the ball rolling early. "We're hoping to play as many shows as possible this year. We want it to be a big one," said Robb.
Watch out for Citizen Hollow.
