Last Contact originated in the heart of winter, late January of 2012, when guitarist Mike Winchel and drummer Brett Jacques met through a Craigslist posting. The two jammed just once, and immediately realized the meeting was no coincidence. They quickly recruited an old friend—and Mike’s former band mate—bassist Josh White, as well as mutual friend and guitarist Boomer, to fill the lineup of what would become Last Contact.
The band began writing ceaselessly, and soon found vocalist Randy Shatkowski, who at the time was also searching for something unique. The band entered Hope Studios in early 2013 to record their debut EP with engineer Matt Richards, and another piece of the band’s puzzle instantly fell into place. Shortly following the recording process, Boomer decided to exit the band for personal reasons, and Matt would quickly become Last Contact's new shredder.
Now complete, the band is dedicated to their onslaught of heavy-metal-rock, and will stop at nothing to pursue the path of their calling.
