The Resistance / Bio

The Resistance has always recognized that the band belongs to God. Although they have a blast doing what they do, it’s not for their glory.

The Resistance music can easily be classified as “rock”. Sonic influences include Skillet, Hawk Nelson, Red, Disciple, Barlow Girl, Flyleaf and guitar-driven 80’s and 90’s rock.

The band has been serving as one of the high school and middle school worship bands for years at Adventure Church in Roseville, CA. They have played festivals and youth nights around California over the years, and this year they will play the Sacramento Kings Faith and Family Night, the Sacramento River Cats Faith Night, Spirit West Coast Monterey, Joshua Fest, Rock of Ages Festival, Concert4Courage and a number of other dates.

Megan’s lyrics and the band’s musical creativity make for a great songwriting combination. The Resistance has just finished their demo EP, “Underground Movement”, and expect to release it in Spring, 2012. Songs include direct in-your-ears guitar-driven rock and especially beautiful ballad displaying Megan’s wonder vocal gifts.
