The boys just completed recording and mixing a five song EP at Popsmear Studios in San Rafael, CA which will be released in January 2015. The EP titled, Too Evil Gets Weird, captures the band's melodic and hardcore punk style which hearkens back musical elements from bands like Lagwagon, Strike Anywhere, and Against Me. For a limited time, you can download the music for free to share with family, friends, and music enthusiasts in an effort to make Dance Party Boys a global household name. Indeed, the band's name is tongue-in-cheek and should not be taken lightly. DPB plays music with a sense of danger and beauty that's been missing for far too long especially in their hometown SF, CA. Their sound has been described as, a full blown musical explosion that will tingle your senses.
Dance Party Boys are from San Francisco, CA and formed in 2011 when Xavior Breff, Jon Long, and Rob Upson combined forces to start a hardcore punk band in a city that was depressingly losing its soul and famed music scene. Fast forward to Decemeber 2013, Frank Martell enters the picture as the new drummer for DPB and the momentum hasn't slow down since. In that time they have played at notable venues around the Bay Area such as Gilman Street, The Blank Club, Bottom Of The Hill, and The Stork Club to name a few.
