Eric Booze, aka Booze (Born August 21, 1988) a native of Baltimore, MD, is a rapper, vocalist and self-taught acoustic guitarist. Booze loves the old school vibe and attributes his musical influences to the likes of Al Green, Trey Songz, Musiq Soulchild and Luther Vandross.
He discovered early that he had a gift for song. Rapping for him started as a hobby, but soon became a way to escape the street life. In 2005 Booze rapped in open mic performances as a way to generate stage presence. Later he discovered Baltimore Battles, a freestyle rap and music competition, and was offered an opportunity to participate as a host. There he met Davonte Wilson, founder of So Swagg, a local group that provided entertainment for various colleges and universities. Booze joined soon began touring with So Swagg throughout the east coast, offering the group his unique blend of rap and music. Through the group, he met Young Ed and they discovered a mutual passion for positive music and collaborated for the last year. Booze is now working on multiple collaborations as well as two mixtapes, STR8 No Chasr , a hip-hop mixtape and Boozeybby, which has more of an R&B feel.
Booze views “live is a good party” and regards music as a way to “Paint a positive picture of life.” Through his music, Booze wants to be regarded as a positive influence on youth.
