Won 4 Christ began when a group of men from South Erwin Baptist Church were invited to provide special music at Erwin's Denim Days in 2003. They debuted as the SEBC Baggy Bottom Britches Boys. Dressed in coveralls and denim, they performed the Gospel hit, “Glory Train.” This experience sparked a desire to start a bonifide singing group. Four of the men that sang on that day followed God’s leading and formed Won 4 Christ. As time has passed the group has grown from four to five and our desire to spread God's word through song continues to grow. Although only two of the original four remain, they are committed to their calling. Won 4 Christ sings at nursing homes as well as churches and any other functions where the opportunity to spread God's word presents itself. They sing familiar old timey songs, favorite hymns, and some contemporary works. Their message through song, word, and deed is always this; to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and His love. All of the members of Won 4 Christ are lifelong friends and fellow Christians that are active members of South Erwin Baptist Church. They give God the glory for all he has done and continues to do and thank him for his grace and mercy.
