Smooth Dialects is a sexy group of panty-droppin', booty-poppin', soul-fillin', jazz-jivin', funk freaks that even yo mama can get down to. The band combines classical training, jazz techniques, and gospel flare to create a sultry groove palette that anyone can feel all over.
Maria Sable, daughter of conductor Vakhtang Jordania, is a classically trained pianist who's smooth but powerful voice keeps your soul begging for more. Josh Sable, Smooth Dialects' very own guitar virtuoso, lays down such a soulful palette of tone one couldn't help but dance. Ryan Crabtree, a Chattanooga native, is a music major at UTC combining classical technique with jazz theory to fill the pocket. Golden Styles, a music student at UTK, puts the smooth in Smooth Dialects with his harmonic genius behind the keys. Michael Royer, with his Masters in Trumpet Performance adds that gritty yet sultry 'Miles Davis-esque' flare. On the saxophone, Josh Dunlap proves that being a sexy sax man can mean so much more. Chris Smith proves that last doesn't mean least proving that percussion can be just as lyrical as the rest of the band by laying down a groove so heavy you can't help but feel it all over.
