Dan Hugen (D7) / Bio

From Fort Smith,AR. Singer-songwriter Dan Hugen writes songs from a unique perspective as the songs come out the way they come in, from no particular genre or playing style. Recently a new friend has been adding to the evolving sound. Proudly announcing Brandon (Planet Barker) Rogne! Brandon is a gifted multi-instrumental musician playing about anything with strings and is a highly talented cigar box guitar player and builder see www.facebook.com/planetbarker. Dan is a veteran picker with roots deep in Country music going back to the 70's outlaw era. Roots music is probably the best description of Dan's writing style. Light-hearted for the most part, but deeper in meaning. His guitar technique blends rock-elements, country, blue-grass, and blues to form a style that is unique, and a poetic form that is one of a kind. The original songs offer stories of life observations stemming from Dan's own personal experiences. Annette is not only beautiful, but talented as well. She performs several duties in the band occasionally filling in on lead or bass guitar, and helping out with vocals. She is also an excellent photographer see www.annettehugen.artistwebsites.com. She also does some very cool band photography. Alan Wright has performed with several bands over the years and he is a solid rythym guitarist and good friend. One of Al's creative rythyms led to the creation of THE YARD DOGG's song LITTLE YELLOW SCHOOL BUS.
