Andy Carter Anderson has been a producer, arranger, sound engineer, songwriter, keyboardist, in Nashville Tennessee, for 25 years. Starting at 17, as a singer/songwriter himself, at 27 years old, he was signed to producer Gary Cape (at that time with Capricorn Records, of Macon Ga.), for a one album deal which was recorded at “Studio Center” in North Miami Beach, Florida. His engineer was Ronnie Capone, who got a “grammy” for “Hot Buttered Soul” with “Issac Hayes”, as well as many acts with Atlantic, and Capricorn Records. Ron basically wrote the book on multitrack recording. His producer Gary Cape was one the only Producers working with “Capricorn” selling any records, near the end of that era, in the late 70’s earl y 80’s. Being the end of that era, the labels were shut down soon and after the first album was finished, Andy with his education in the bag, from his producer and engineer, left, and moved to Nashville Tennessee, from Miami Fla., and opened up “Blue Ridge Music Group”, on famous “Music Row” at 1024 16th Ave. South(God bless the boys who make the noise on 16thAve.) During the years at that address where he housed his “Recording studio” and offices, Andy spent years recording with the “A” team at “Treasure Isle Recorders” in “Berry Hill” one of the hottest studios in town. Producers Paul Worley, Ricky Scaggs, Bill Anderson, Dolly Parton, and others were sharing the studio as well as some of the finest studio musicians in the world, including Eddie Bayers, Mark O’Conner, Kerry Marx, etc. Andy has worked with “Billy Dean”, “David Frizzell”, “Billy Joe Royal”, “Ron Wallace”, “Lt.Bobby Ross”, and many others, during his time in the studios of Nashville. On the road he has worked with, “Doug Stone”, “Bobby Bear’, “Brenda Lee”, “Little Texas”, “BJ Thomas”, “Allison Kraus,” “Grinder Switch” and more. He came here as a “Southern Rock and Roll” artist, and immersed himself in the “Nashville Sound” and the great song writing influences there. Soon after Andy penned “Prayer for a Soldier” which achieved great acclaim, especially in “Music City” for his tribute for the troops and family’s involved in the 1rst Iraq war, resulting in commendations from “President George Bush Sr.”,“101rst Airborne, Screaming Eagles” (Clarksville Tennessee) Nashville Banner, NBC Channel 4 in Nashville, running a classic video using the song as sung by Tammy Reney, as a daily reminder of the intensity of that war. Tammy, singing Andy’s song, was invited to the 101rst Airborne Military Base to give a concert for 5000 members of the family’s of the soldiers who went to the Middle East during that intense conflict. Andy said “ it showed me how much emotes on, and affect a single piece of music can have, on a large audience, in an emotional situation.” Andy is moving his operations ,studio, offices to “Treasure Isle Studio’s in Nashville ,home of “Jason Aldean, “Montgomery Gentry” “Trace Adkins” and many others. He has three current new artist in “Patrick Gibson, the “Florida Cracker Country Boy” and “Whitney Hogan” (Rock N Roll singer songwriter, as well as “Sonshine Rivers,” an Rand B artist from Baton Rouge, La. Whose Title cut “Katrina” is due for release in July of 2010 commemorating the 5th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. “Sonshine” lost her home in Hurricane Gustav, and offers closure for this tragic event. “Katrina” was written by Andy, and Sonshine, and copies could be obtained from sonshinerivers.com All of these albums Andy has produced and engineered, as well as penned the title cut “Florida” which has had great acclaim in that state, for artist “Patrick Gibson” and potentially the new Florida state song, released in Florida and other areas and received well, by radio stations and Newspapers, such as the “Orlando Sentinel, and papers all over the state of Florida.
