eremy and Jon formed in 2012 after Jeremy Beavers and Jon Brown, both having recently earned bachelor's degrees in music from Kennesaw State University, realized it would be fun to play music together.
“On our own we’ve been performing music for most of our lives,” Beavers said in an interview with Dylan Galbraith, shortly before their first show together. Having now meshed their musical personalities, they have been performing regionally since early 2013, based out of the North Metro Atlanta area. They have recently been featured in the Roswell Tap's Singer Songwriter Series showcase for original music.
Having grown up with widely varied musical backgrounds, Jeremy and Jon bring their favorite stylings from classic rock, grunge, Motown, blues, folk, and classical music into their relaxed, yet energetic performances. They have played music at many and varied venues such as Steve's Live Music, the Roswell Tap Singer Songwriter Series, Chukkar Farm Polo Club, Canton Theatre, the Bailey Performance Center, Chateau Elan, Trolley Barn in Inman Park, Chukkar Farm Polo Club, Ansley Golf Club, and Ragamuffin Music Hall, as well as numerous bars, coffee-houses, and anywhere people gather to listen to music. In late 2013, they added Brian Palat on drums to the lineup and currently perform in full band form as a power trio as well as performing as an acoustic duo depending on the needs of the venue.
“This project together is the first thing we have done where we’ve gotten to really control all the aspects of making music the way we want to make it,” says Beavers.
With that in mind, they continue to express an unusual creative voice amidst contemporary alternative rock, whether spinning a classic rock song their way or performing a new original.
