In a time when country music has become less country, it’s a good thing to know that there is a band like The TRUCK STOP TROUBADOURS around to keep the fire alive for the traditional sounds and themes of true country music.
The Truck Stop Troubadours are a Massachusetts based
band bringing back a classic outlaw country sound
mixed with hints of Rockabilly and Americana. The band has been performing since 2010 and has been gaining a solid fan base that extends to country and non-county fans alike. Landing them prime spots on the Town and County fair market as well as opening for national acts like JOHN MICHAEL MONTGOMERY and DWIGHT YOAKAM.
Born and raised on a tobacco farm in Connecticut
traditional country singer BRIAN CHICOINE followed his
heart and love for country music to Nashville where he
lived for 10 years gigging and defining his own music
style. Brian shared the stage with some of Nashville’s top musicians and Opened shows for artists such as SHOOTER JENNINGS, BR5-49, DALE WATSON, HANK WILLIAMS III, JYPSI and many others. Brian returned home to New England in 2008 bringing back with him is knowledge of the Nashville scene and a notebook full of original songs. And in 2010 Brian decided the time was right to form a band that would stand for the tradition of county music.
Joining Brian is a telecaster toten'
guitarist....ROB "RG" GRIMALDI... who is better known
as 6 Strings of Sexy.
RG lays down that old school twang with a seasoning of
Rockabilly straight out of Sun Records and provides a
quality backing vocal for the group.
Next we have the low end master of the
bass guitar known simply as JUNIOR. A grizzled
seasoned veteran of the Northeast Music Scene
guarantees you feel that low down country rumble that
will rock you right out of your seats and on to the dance
On the drums we have a top notch time keeper in JIM LENN. A pro player and multi-instrumentalist, whose knowledge of his instruments brings a solid level of dynamics to the backing rhythm of the band.
Every time the boys strap on their guitars and kick into
that 4/4 foot stompin' two steppin',house rockin',diesel
truckin',beer drinkin' beat....Everyone knows that the good times are alive and well.
