Riplak is an emcee based out of Iowa. The meaning of the name is Rest In Peace Lynn Ann Kremer,
in memory of his mother who passed away when he was 12. Lynn's life was taken by her best friend's
22, in cold blood. Riplak was very close to her. After she passed his friends left as well.
Family was there but he still felt alone at this time. He began writing to deal with what was
trapped in his head. The violent thoughts would come out on paper in attempts to stop himself
from acting them out. He began singing/screaming in hardcore bands in high school. The bands
never seemed to stay together.
At the age of 18, Riplak moved out on his own. This new freedom led into a drinking
problem. The violence stuck around. There were many violent thoughts from the injustice of
his mothers death, and also the shady characters and drugs his mother was surrounded with.
With the bands not working out, Riplak had to find another way to get it out solo.
As a child, Riplak's brothers got him into west coast rap. This was definitely something
that could bring a smile to his face through any kind of times. Riplak started writing rap at
the age of 19. First cd "A Curse Called Trust" was released in 2005. This is when he bought his
first beats off of a man in Milwaukee, MC AK. They talked about a record deal 6 days after the
first Riplak demo came out. After much thought, Riplak would turn this deal down. Riplak and MC
AK are still friends to this day and have more collaborations ahead.
The years went by and Riplak began meeting many people all over the U.S. Travelling to
do shows almost every weekend. Making an impact on people with his personal rhymes. Music is
the number one love of his life and it shows. He stays motivated and on top of his work for his
fans. Looking for happiness, not fortune and fame.
Riplak has done shows and songs with some of his favorite rappers growing up. He has got
to rap with and talk personally with some. He has also been putting in work with Houston's legend
K Rino, also a big insperation to Riplak's career. Some other insperations he's put in some
kinds of work in as well, are Obie Trice, Hussein Fatal, Hopsin (and Funk Volume), Project Pat,
D.A. Smart, most of Strange Music, Do or Die, I-20, Stat Quo, and many more! Also many more to
There are many artists Riplak works with on a regular basis. A project with Side Weighs
called Organized Chaos. Side Weighs met Riplak when Riplak and his rap group, The Takeover, had
beef with some artists in Milwaukee. Side Weighs was cool with The Takeover, so him being in
Milwaukee, he had The Takeover's back straight from the spot of the beef. The Takeover is made up
of 3 members. Riplak, Kontroversy, and NDK. Both of Riplak's groups are working on their 2nd
cd releases. Stay tuned to this website for any updates on Riplak or Side Weighs! They put in
