Rich is a Soloist, Singer/Songwriter, Producer, and Band Leader with a track record a mile long.
He now lives in the mountains of Lincoln County New Mexico, but his history has taken him from El Paso, Colorado, Lubbock, Manhattan, New Jersey, Maryland and to New Mexico.
He has shared the stage with many notable artist such as the late Johnny Johnson (Eric Clapton keyboardist and Chuck Berry’s Johnny Be Good), opened for ZZ Top with the Jay Adams Band and started out playing with El Paso Blues legend Long John Hunter, to name a few. He formed his own All Star Bands in Maryland and New Jersey and produced 3 CD’s with cohort, Tommy Lepson, which received extremely favorable reviews.
Rich’s has performed at major festivals and events such as the several Chesapeake Blues Festivals, Baltimore’s Artscape and Charlottesville’s Friday concerts and more recently at the Blues and Jazz Festivals in Alamogordo and Roswell. His songwriting has won awards from the Songwriter’s Association of Washington.
More recently he was honored to play guitar for the Platter’s Tribute show at the prestigious Spencer Theatre, in Ruidoso, New Mexico. He also performs as guest guitarist with the El Paso fusion band, Frank Zona and Urban Edge. He also has a playing relationship with jazz pianist and musical director, Michael Francis. And, he is a soloist.
A native of El Paso, Texas, and UTEP alumnus, Rich Chorné brings to the table those Texas-foot-stomping guitar influences that will drive the average person into dance frenzy.
