Aphelium / Bio

Aphelium is a Venezuelan Metal band founded in 2006 that has slowly evolved into the Symphonic and Power Metal subgenres, combining orchestrations and progressive elements, since 2008. They have gained the attention of the local Metal scene as well as the praise of several international web pages for their self-titled Demo, released in 2012, which was featured on Metal Storm's Clandestine Cuts Vol. 3: The Best New Demos And EPs From Around the Metal World.

They have played in several clubs and festivals throughout their country, including the National Rock Festival, in which they were awarded first place, and the most important Metal Festival in Venezuela, the Gillmanfest, as one of the support bands for Heavy Metal legends, Saxon, in March 2013. Aphelium was awarded first place in the "Viña Rock band's contest 2014" among more than 800 bands from all over the world, being the first Venezuelan band to play in the history of this important European festival and the only Latin American band to participate in this year's edition. They have also been invited to the "Heart Of Texas Rockfest" 2014, to be held in Austin, Texas, USA.
