Lucidity began in 2010 as a 4 piece instrumental jam band with Alex Frondelli and Gabby Kaplan on guitar, Paul Persaud on bass, and Yiorgos Bosnakis on drums. Their influences consisted of a mix of classic rock, metal, jazz, and funk. In January of 2011, they released their first studio album. "Moments of Sanity" was recorded and mixed by Tyler Snow at his home studio in Baldwin, New York. The album was produced by Gabby Kaplan and Alex Frondelli.
After about a year and a half, the lineup changed, as well as the style, and they became an 9 piece experimental ska band with influences from more ska, jazz, and alternative artists. In December of 2013, Lucidity released their second, self-titled studio album. "Lucidity" was produced by Gabby Kaplan and Luke Zwelsky. The album was recorded by Luke Zwelsky and Gabby Kaplan at Studio 418 in North Merrick, New York and mixed and mastered by Michael Frondelli. All music © Lucidity 2010-2014.
