Raini Charuka Goonatillake / Bio

Born on the 10th of April 1991 is the Daughter of the Famous Singer/Musician Rookantha Goonatillake and Singer/Actress Chandralekha Perera. She started singing at a young age of 3 with the 'Banana Song' by her father Rookantha.
As of then, she has been featured in many of Rookantha's songs and Jingles to Radio Channels such as Sirasa FM and Brands such as: Prima, Damro, X-Tra, Kicks, Wrigleys, Lotus, Lanka Soy, Munchee, Nivaaran, Indra Traders, etc...
She was educated at:-
St.Bridgets Convent, CMB
St.Nicholas' International, CMB
Wycherley International, CMB
Susan E.Wagner High School, NY
and a current Alumni of:
The University Of Hartford, CT, U.S.A.

She launched herself as a Singer with the Hit Single:- " Neela Kandugate" in October of 2009, with her co-singer/friend- Gayan Perera who is also known as the leader of the Band 'Daddy' and the son of the famous singer Sunil Perera.

In the year of 2010, Raini acted in her first Movie 'Sinhawalokanaya- The Cricket Film 2011' by 1st time Director- Suneth Malinga Lokuhewa and plays the character 'Samadaree', the main female role in the movie.
She has also acted in many Stage plays since the 2nd grade upto now; Off-Broadway/Broadway Shows in the U.S.

Her ambition is to become an Aviator ( Commercial Pilot ) and be successful in whatever she might undertake in life.
