talent for music began at a very young age. He first started "rapping himself to sleep" in the fourth grade. Not long after that, he began challenging classmates to rap battles on the playground and showcasing his skills at talent shows. As Haze entered high school, he was already a well-known freestyle rapper around the Kansas City area. He then began releasing mix tapes and singles online, and his MySpace page even got the attention of music industry executives, allowing him to collaborate with other up-and-comers in the music business. However, Haze's love of music does not end with rap or hip-hop. When he was sixteen, much to the dismay of his mother, Haze spent all of the money that he was saving to buy a car on music downloads. his music obsession has definitely paid off. The catalogue of songs that Haze has written measures several hundred. Haze compares his work ethic to the likes of Will Smith and Michael Jordan. And though his music is influenced by legends such as Michael Jackson, Tom Petty and The Beatles, Prince says he can definitely stand out in a crowd because he does not care what anyone thinks. That "don't care" attitude stems from a very diverse and unusual childhood. Haze' early years were spent living in a number of different inner-city neighborhoods. However, for the past several years he has lived in middle-class suburbia. Along with his lyrical talent, it is Haze' "best of both worlds" experience that has given him the edge that he needs to succeed in the music industry and beyond.
