Cavallo / Bio

"End times instrumental art-rock" - Baltimore Weekly

It's finally here… Cavallo has released their debut 7" ep featuring two intense, non-formulaic instrumental tracks. Organic, train of thought arrangements that evolve, build, reference, churn, and somehow light, from WITHIN. The songs were recorded and mixed by non-other than Joel Hamilton (Dub Trio, Book of Knots, Blakroc, & more!) at Studio G in Feb, 2012.

Brooklyn's Cavallo have been forging their sound since 2010, and after a few demos and lineup changes, have finally settled into a something that is truly unique to themselves. Combining elements of math and prog rock with upbeat post punk and dense metal instrumentation. Thick, effect-laden guitars soar over a tight and technical rhythm section. Their diverse music has developed into a sound that carries over into many genres allowing them to share the stage with a wide range of artists.

Cavallo is:
Bryan Wishup - guitars
Jeff Arancherry - bass
Kyle Hussa-Lietz - guitars
Mike Kessell - drums
