Emily is a real little girl who was abducted five years ago, she is now aged 7. The lyrics are a letter from the heart by Emily's father, turned into a beautiful song by Doris Brendel, who took time out from preparations to launch her new album ("The Last Adventure" www.dorisbrendel.com) to write the song and make all this possible, produced by Dave Beeson and brought to life by the vocal talents of Sam Blue, who recorded his vocals in the midst of touring with Dizee Rascal.
"I liked the song as soon as I heard it....and believe it is for a very good cause and a very good charity,"says Sam, "There must be thousands of children scattered around the world with no regular contact to one of their parents and vice versa".
Sam was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, and has been singing for over 30 years. He's been a part of bands......Emerson, LA Secrets, Paul Samson's Empire, Ya Ya, Ultravox and Burns Blue. He has also released several solo albums. His voice has appeared on tv ad's, film soundtracks and TV themes in the UK and abroad. Most recently the new Thomas the Tank Engine movie title song..."Go Go Thomas."
More recently Sam has worked with The Streets, Dizzee Rascal, The Young Punx, Phonat, Professor Green.....doing a mixture of recorded work and some live shows. Currently he is singing with Dizzee Rascal for the UK festivals and Arena shows.
