After a Successful two year run with The Texas Red Legs, then stints with Lost Immigrants and many solo performances, Richard has branched further into different mediums, and added film composer to his long list of projects.
Richard recently (August 2011) scored the film "The Last Wish" a Michael Rossi and Dawson Digital Productions independent film, as well as two other short films that were received well at the Sand Diego "48-hour film festival."
Richard composed the score for " By Apointment Only," a tense horror short directed by Theresa Dawson-Davis, and also wrote the original music for "1-900-red-cape," a hilarious and cleverly written parody.
His song "Ballad of the Skinwalker" was also the main theme for the zombie-comedy "Snuffin' Zombies in 2006.
A Shiner Rising star finals appearance, traveling from the tip of Texas to Nashville Tennessee are a few of the accomplishments Richard has accomplished in his assault on the traditions and conventions of roots music. A songwriters festival in Nashville, multiple appearances at Quiktrip stadium, as well as The Hardrock Cafe Dallas and radio play from France to Belgium are some of the highlights of his career to date.
Long a critics favorite and underground songwriter, Richard's travels, troubles, and tales have all been refined. Sharpened on the concrete that is.
Richard has performed with Aaron Watson, Micky and the Motor Cars as well as Reckless Kelly, The Tejas Bros., Little Texas Guthrie Kennard, Saille Branch and many others either with his band, solo or other projects he was involved in.
Richard is not only is an accomplished songwriter, performer and recording artist, but he is also a skilled communicator and has put together multiple events from one man bands performances, to variety shows that included live art, tattooing and burlesque.
