Kathryn Jean / Bio

Kathryn Jean was born and raised in a small town in Connecticut. Unlike alot of people she was not rasied in a musical family although her Mom did play some piano and organ. Ever since Kathryn Jean was little she knew she was different and was singing before she could talk. She knew she was special and was given a special gift. She grew up on Country music and listening to Red Sovine, Patsy Cline and so many others.

In 1998 Kathryn Jean lost her Mom..it was very difficult for her and she went through a period of depression..her Mom was her biggest fan! Her Mom always loved to hear her daughter sing..its what brought her Mom joy!!

In 2005 Kathryn decided to make the move to Nashville on a promise she made to her Mom...that she would try!! Unfortunately things just didnt work out. Although she met some wonderful people and recorded a couple of songs she wishes she could of had more of an opportunity. Kathryn Jean has been told she is too fat or too old..she wants to change that. "Its whats in your soul..I would rather sing to 1 person and know I made a difference than sing to millions and not have touched a soul."

Kathryn then left TN and moved to Southern IL and where she currently resides. Unfortunately there is no opportunities there for her as it is a very small town but she enjoys singing in church but feels she is called for so much more. Over the past year and a half Kathryn Jean has also lost her Dad and her sister...both whom she was extremely close. "I know God must of had a plan for me... I dont regret anything that has ever happened in my life..the bad is to help others, lessons learned. The good..well it always will outweigh the bad and keeps you positive. Everything Happens for a Reason."

Kathryn Jean will continue to keep dreaming and praying someone see's beyond weight and age..
