Astronauts Anonymous is an Experimental Alternative Rock act from North Carolina. Originally formed in 2007 under the moniker Sirens For Sleeping, the band gained underground attention with the release of their debut EP, Lorelai. After breaking up in 2010 and taking a year off, inevitably a void needed to be filled and the band reformed as Astronauts Anonymous with a brand new sound, and essentially a new band with the same members. Musically, Astronauts Anonymous provides a wide array of sounds that leave virtually no boundaries when it comes to the songwriting process. Comprising vocalist Shane Nickle, guitarist Zac Simmoneau, drummer Nick Sellers, bassist/vocalist Hazley Carter, and guitarist Matt Evans, each and every song has it’s own color and personality. With captivating melodies and rhythms that blend over ravishing vocal hooks, the band creates a fervent musical landscape that reaches out to the listener. The groups main intent is to keep writing songs that are fun and exciting for the band to play and for the audiences to hear all over and to share the passion and intensity of music. Astronauts entered Red Room studios earlier this year with producer/engineer Worth Weaver (He Is Legend) and their album "Still Sleeping" was released April 27th, 2013.
